Archaeology Notes

NJ50NW 9 522 065

Stone-walled rectilinear enclosure on S-facing hillslope in area of rough grazing. It is open to the S but the N side measures 290m in length, and the W and E sides 150m and 60m respectively; the remains of the walls (which comprise large boulders) vary between 0.4m and 0.9m in height. An internal platform measuring 5m in diameter is set up against the wall at the NW end. The monument is threatened by forestry and visible on AAS photographs AAS/90/01/53/1-10.
