NJ43NW 5 4305 3824.

(NJ 4305 3824) Two Stone Coffins found AD 1869 (NAT)

OS 6" map, Aberdeeshire, 2nd ed., (1902)

Two stone coffins, one containing an urn and human remains, were found here, 1869. The other was not disturbed and both were covered up again as the local minister objected to any interference with them.

Name Book 1870.

The site falls on a low, natural knoll in a pasture field; otherwise no further information.
