A granite boundary stone on the summit of Mona Gowan marked the march between Inverernan and Candacraig, or possibly Carvie, estates in the late nineteenth century. Rectangular in section, the stone stands to a height of 0.55m and bears the letter I on its west face and the letter C on the east. The number fourteen carved into the flat top of the stone indicates the number of this marker in a series of similar stones.
