Ellon Castle, Walled Garden

Walled garden, 1715 (datestone above gate leading from garden to village), repaired 1851, a rectangle dominated by a great terrace at the north into which the garden house is set and above which lours the old castle. Bailie Gordon's garden was extended southwards in 1851 to cover five acres in all, with great yew hedges adding to the sheltering walls.
