New Parish Church, 1865-7, Brown & Wardrop; 1908, Gillot & Johnson Bell. Good early pointed Gothic in tooled ashlar;

L-plan formed by south transept, angle filled by tower and porch; north end three-sided. Strong, saddleback tower with clock. Forms an important feature, crisp and strong, in the long, slightly straggly village.

Taken from "Aberdeenshire: Donside and Strathbogie - An Illustrated Architectural Guide", by Ian Shepherd, 2006. Published by the Rutland Press http://www.rias.org.uk
