Goods Sta [NAT]

OS 1:10,560 map, 1970.

This intermediate station on the Macduff branch of the (former) Great North of Scotland Rly. was opened on 5 September 1857 (by the Banff, Macduff and Turriff Junction Rly); it closed to regular passenger traffic on 1 October 1951.

R V J Butt 1995.

The station, signal box and goods yard have now been demolished and all traces removed during road improvements to the A947. The station finally closed to freight traffic in January 1966, the railway having been truncated at this point since 1962.
