BLOWING ENGINE HOUSE Steam engine, usually, driving a centrifugal fan to provide an air blast for a blast furnace.
BOILER HOUSE A building housing a boiler, often connected to a steam engine house.
CHIMNEY The flue or channel that funnels smoke and gases from a fire.
EGG END BOILER An externally-heated boiler made from a fabricated steel tube with domed ends, designed to contain high-pressure steam. Egg-end boilers were often used to drive steam engines.
