NX97SE 28 c. 976 732.

NX 976 732. A Bronze Age axe-hammer, found in 1977 near Kingholm Quay (NX97NE 33), is in Dumfries Museum.

DES 1977.

This Class I axe-hammer is held in Dumfries Museum under accession number DUMFM 1977/32. It has been petrologically attributed to group XXX (hornblende lamprophyre from Northern Scotland).
