Archaeology Notes

NX97NE 153.08 99685 78471 and 99528 78517

Two L type aircraft hangars are situated on the S side of the airfield, within Dumfries Enterprise Park. The two buildings are in use for storage.

The hangars are visible on vertical air photographs (106G/UK 1314, 5053-5054, flown 27 March 1946), and on the RAF WW II sortie (FNO 158, 6.4-6.5, flown 26 September 1942).
