Archaeology Notes

NX95SE 21 97722 54314

Not to be confused with limekiln at NX 972 543, for which see NX95SE 4.

Formerly entered in error at cited location NX c. 9772 5230.

This limekiln is not indicated on any available map, but a location at NX c. 9772 5230 may be inferred from the statement that it is some 35m NW of the lighthouse NX95SE 1. The brass frame of the last lantern used in the tower has been set on a concrete plinth within its ruins.

Information from RCAHMS (RJCM), 20 March 2006.
