Publication Account (17 December 2011)

Recorded in 1949 by St Joseph from the air (1958: 89), this cropmark enclosure, lying inside Glenlochar I, measures about 80m from WNW to ESE by 70m and enclosed 0.67ha (1.4 acres). A square enclosure, measuring some 43m by 40m is tucked into its south-east corner. Despite a superficial resemblance to camps such as Crawford III and IV and Ellisland I and II, the enclosure may well not be Roman in date.

R H Jones.
