Weir [NAT]

OS (GIS) MasterMap, August 2009.

Partly in Balmaclellan parish.

This weir evidently controls the supply of water to the mill NX68SW 29.00 through the lade NX68SW 29.02. It has been constructed across the Garple Burn, which here forms the boundary between the parishes of Dalry (to the W) and Balmaclellan (to the E).

Information from RCAHMS (RJCM), 3 August 2009.
