A sandstone axe-hammer from Irelandton farm (NX 646 562) measuring 11" x 4" x 2", is in Kirkcudbright Museum (acc No 3283).

Visited by OS (DWR) 16 February 1972.

This Class I axe-hammer has been petrologically attributed to 'near' group XXVII (greywacke from the Southern uplands of Scotland).
