See also NX34NW 27.

A small broken slab, now in Whithorn Museum, was found on Elrig farm, (NX 326 482) before 1902 but Anderson could not ascertain the find-spot in 1922. It measures 14 1/2" x 8 3/4" x 2". The only ornamented face has a cross with expanded arms, filled with a continuous interlaced pattern. On the shaft of the cross is a panel of frets, framed with a cable moulding. It is of 10th century date but its purpose is uncertain.

R S G Anderson 1923; C A R Radford and G Donaldson 1953.
