Archaeology Notes

NX06SE 94.03 c. 0794 6111

A small square concrete building is situated on a low railway embankment just N of the Bishop Burn and NE of Whinbank Terrace.

It is visible on vertical air photographs (106G/Scot/UK 41, 3306-3307, flown 4 May 1946), which show that it is located Ne of a road crossing and the junction between the earlier by-pass railway (NX06SE 94.02) and the later direct route.

Information from RCAHMS (DE), March 2006.
