One of at least three dispersed accommodation camps for personnel serving at RAF Wig Bay (NX06NW 44.00). Situated to the N and S of a minor road leading from the A 718 main road to High Dinduff farmsteading it occupies an area of about 11.20 hectares.

The surviving remains include many concrete hut bases and foundations at least fourteen emergency air-raid shelters and the concrete trackways that connected the various parts of the camp. One gable ended building (NX 02716 64731) stands to roof height.

The main part of the camp is visible on vertical air photographs (CPE/Scot/UK 307, 4233-4234, flown 4 October 1947), which show that most huts were either of the Nissen type (at least 70) or pitched roofed and of wooden construction. There were also several larger conjoined huts, probably mess and recreation halls.
