Location formerly entered as NT 9205 6731.

The slipway was built in 1909-11, but the boat was stored in the open. The lifeboat house was built in 1914-15 at the top of the slipway; it was resheeted and converted to house an inshore lifeboat in 1980-1. Further modifications were carried out in 1987 and 1998.
