Archaeology Notes

NT95NW 7 c. 932 557.

(Centred: NT 9327 5575) A few years ago Mr John Ovens dug up a penny from the mint of Crosraguel Abbey, in the garden of Foulden House. The pennies from this mint are assigned to the last ten or twelve years of the fifteenth century.

Foulden House has been demolished and two modern bungalows stand on the site. Mr Ovens is now deceased.

No further information.
