A cist, containing a beaker and a skelton, was found in 1882, on a knoll 150yds S of the West Lodge, Manderston. The cist, which was left intact, was on the highest point of a ridge, c.70yds. from a spring.
The whereabouts of the beaker-type N3 (L) - is now unknown (D L Clarke 1970).
