The farm cottages at Swintonmill comprise a row of single-storeyed structures with attics, divided into two separate blocks or ranges.
The westernmost range is the longer of the two, incorporating four separate cottages. The building is made of sandstone, and probably dates from the late nineteenth century.
These cottages would have provided accommodation for the families of farm labourers attached to nearby Swintonmill Farm.
