Archaeology Notes

NT82SW 51 from 8219 2379 to 8262 2318

An area of cord rig lies on the gentle slopes immediately to the NE of the palisaded enclosure (NT82SW 1) on Shoulder Hill. The cord rig appears to have destroyed any evidence for the palisade slots on the NE side of the enclosure suggesting that it post-dated the two phases of enclosure on the hilltop. Where surveyed, the furrows are about 1.5m apart on average.
