Archaeology Notes

NT81NW 66 from 8344 1756 to 8355 1751

An area of cross-contour cord rig, oriented from N to S is visible from oblique aerial photographs (D Harding, University of Edinburgh) over the steep N-facing slope above the Crock Cleuch and to the W of an unnamed burn. The cultivation may be associated with the ring-ditch houses (NT81NW 65) on the summit of the spur to the S.
