There are cultivation terraces on the N flank of Cock Law, 200 yds N of Camp Tops fort (NT81NE 8).
RCAHMS 1956, visited 1938.
Four or five vague lynchets may be seen here.

Deep ploughing and afforestation have destroyed these terraces.

Modern forestry has destroyed all traces of the contour cultivation noted by the RCAHMS on a spur on the moderate to moderately steep N-facing slope of Camp Tops overlooking the Kingseat Burn to the N and E. The RCAHMS (1956) noted the presence of cultivation terraces here whilst the OS Field Investigator (24 August 1960) observed four or five vague lynchets here, before they were destroyed by 1968. The lower limit of the cultivation stopped above the boundary-bank extending out from Cocklawfoot farm (NT81NE 41) whilst the upper limit of the cultivation was marked by a steepening of the gradient.
