Archaeology Notes

NT77SW 74 NT 71704 73523

Aerial photography has revealed the cropmarks of a possible fort occupying part of the top of an unnamed knoll 400m S of Innerwick. Only the double ditches of the W side are visible, which would suggest an enclosed area with a minimum length of 150m.

Information from RCAHMS (KB) 15 March 1999

The linear cropmarks that have been previously identified as the ditches of a possible fort are geological in origin.

Information from RCAHMS (DCC) 18 January 2007
