Archaeology Notes

NT68SW 4.01 637 812

A WWII pillbox constructed on the site of the cairn. The pillbox itself is now ruinous.

H Nisbet 1975.

A visit to the site would suggest that the location of this pillbox may lie some 150m to the SW where disturbed ground shows evidence of a Second World War trench system (see NT6SW 45).
