Archaeology Notes

NT66NW 17 c. 646 678.

A standing stone is noted on Farmer's map of 1748 as being near the stone circle on the summit of Spartleton Ridge (NT66NW 18).

RCAHMS 1924, visited 1913

Nothing significant was found on perambulation of the area indicated (NT 6467). The alleged stone circle was not located. However, see NT66NW 18 and NT66NW 23.
