Whitehill, Farm Cottages

Among the farm buildings constructed at Whitehill farm following the agricultural improvements of the late eighteenth and early nineteenth centuries was a row of five farm cottages.

These cottages probably date from the nineteenth century, and would have provided accommodation for the families of those permanently engaged in the labour-intensive operations on an arable farm such as Whitehill.
