Section of railway from immediately E of Melrose Station (NT53SW 68.01) to about 1.5Km S of Newton St Boswells Station (NT53SE 153.01). Approximately one third of the trackbed has been utilised in the construction of the A6091 trunk road and at several points the bridges have been removed to improve the road alignment. Other sections are utilised as public footpaths or cycleways.
