Cast iron lattice railway bridge spanning the Gala Water immediately N of Bowshank Tunnel (NT44SE 28.04). A steel girder separates the two rail tracks. The bridge has brick and stone piers and abutments.

The remains of a concrete sand box was noted at the N end on the W side of the trackbed.

Photographed in 2007 as part of a survey of Waverley Line remains in advance of proposed rebuilding of the railway and to enhance and augment the existing holdings of the National Monuments Record Scotland.

Information from RCAHMS (DE), April 2007
