NT 319 725. Cultivation Remains and Cropmarks, Brunstane: visible on aerial photographs.
Field boundaries and a block of rig have been recorded as cropmarks on oblique aerial photography (RCAHMSAP 1996). One field boundary extends from E to W, cutting across a trackway, and intersecting a second boundary at NT 3216 7242. The faint traces of rig and furrow aligned from NW to SE can be seen to the N of the trackway.

Watching Brief (1 August 2017 - 30 October 2017)
NT 320 725 A watching brief was carried out, July – October 2017, during the excavation of test pits, mining investigation trenches and other site investigation works in the Brunstane Masterplan Area. In one test pit a robbed wall foundation trench was recorded, which appears to relate to the former walled garden. All but one of the mining investigation trenches revealed features; these ranged from mining test pits to sealed shafts and possible air vents.
