(NT 3898 7386) Dovecot (NR)

OS 6" map (1966)

This 16th century beehive-shaped dovecot is 60' in diameter, with a flattish domed roof covered by stone slabs, random rubble wall c. 3'6" with dressings and three stringcourses. It contains c.600 stone nests. Now in poor repair.

This dovecot is in good condition having been recently restored by the National Trust for Scotland.
