Archaeology Notes

NT26SW 118 2265 6431

There are several inter-cutting blocks of rig on the SE flank of Castlelaw Hill, lying on the hillside above the rifle range (NT26SW 65). Broad, sinuous rigs running roughly NNW-SSE across the contour are overlaid in places by shallow, closely spaced grooves of a later phase of cultivation.

Information from RCAHMS (DCC) 2 September 2004.

This number has been cancelled and its collection transferred to NT26SW 119.

Information from RCAHMS (JRS) 7 June 2005.
