Shaft/Mine Details: 2 shafts, 302m and 174m deep. Shafts located at NT 2827 6571 and NT 2830 6575.

Details in 1948: Output 122 tons per day, 30,500 tons per annum. 163 employees. Coppee Baum-type washer. Baths (1932), first-aid room, canteen (snack, added 1939)). Electricity mostly from Burghlee Colliery power station (NT26SE 67), a little from SE Scotland Electricity Board. Report dated 15-07-1948.

Other Details: Also known as Loanhead Colliery. New washery (Blantyre Engineering Company) added in 1929, at which time one of the shafts was reconstructed (4.88m diameter and concrete lined) and deepened from 176m to 285m.
