Railway station with goods yard and station situated on the S side of Valleyfield Road. All railway buildings removed when new housing estate was constructed.

(Location cited as NT 238 598). Penicuik Station, opened 1872 by the Penicuik Rly. A single-platform terminal station, with a 1-storey, 13-bay, red-and-white-brick building. Adjacent to this is a medium-sized goods shed of similar construction.
