OS 25" map (1856)

No trace remains of the West Port, which stood at the W end of the High Street. It was removed in 1758.

Name Book 1856; J W Buchan and H Paton 1925

Sited to NT 2506 4039 from plan (of Peebles compiled from burgh records 1604-52) in the Chambers Institute Museum, Peebles. No trace of the port exists.
