The site of the Carlingnose Barracks and the later gun battery accommodation camp was situated immediately NW of the gun-emplacements and magazine.
All evidence of the huts have been removed by a small housing development.

A number of building are shown on a War Department map (The National Archives WO 78/4396), dated 28 May 1916, annotated 'Barracks'. They occupy much of the area within the battery boundary. A modern housing estate occupies the military camp.
A length of trench may still survive in an area of open ground (NT 13470 80935) which formed partr of the battery defences on the E side.
