Summary Record (15 August 2013)

In 1939, when the island was re-armed, two 12-pdr guns were mounted in what was the site of one of the two 6-inch gun emplacements (see NT18SE 22.05). This battery was named the Kent battery, in honour of the Duke of Kent, who visited the island at that time.
