Standing Building Recording (11 February 2019)

A photographic survey was carried out of the Georgian stable blocks and Dovecot at Ashley House Stable. Written descriptions were made of all the buildings and a measured survey of the Northern elevation of the Dovecot was undertaken.

Watching Brief (February 2022 - May 2022)

NT 15164 71330 A watching brief was carried out on the redevelopment and refurbishment of the Georgian stable blocks and dovecot between February and May 2022. Further photographs were taken of the stable blocks once they had been cleaned out and the excavation of new drainage trenches was monitored. No archaeological evidence for any earlier occupation of the site was recovered.
