NT07NE 58 c. 072 769

AH 4. Wedge-shaped hammer of sandstone 10 1/2 x 3 1/2 x 3 1/2 ins (267 x 89 x 89mm), partially perforated, from Craigton, Linlithgowshire.

NMAS 1892.

This unfinished axe-hammer is held in the Royal Museum of Scotland under accession number AH 4. It has been petrologically identified as altered porphyritic microtonalite.
