What is probably a type 27 pillbox has been identified from an oblique RAF wartime air photograph (No.1 CAM, no.24698, flown 15 June 1944) to the S of the Bo'ness Road at what was formerly crossroads by Loanhead farm, but is now a dual carriageway.
The pillbox has been removed in the subsequent industrial developments at this location that took place in the postwar period.
