Archaeology Notes

NS98SW 23.01 9395 8146

A type 27 pillbox has been identified from a RAF wartime vertical air photograph (NLA 71 540, 3003, flown 9 September 1943) about 80m from the NE edge of the N hangar. The pillbox has been removed and no trace of it could be found in the area around the widened A904 road.
