NCO and other accommodation is situated at the SE corner of the barracks, just N of the junction between the A73 and A70 roads.
The buildings are of two phases. The oriignal houses form a open ended square with another two blocks situated facing the A70 road. All of two storeys and built of red brick with tiled roofs. The upper floors have been provided with bathrooms and two bedrooms with lving room and kitchen on the ground floor.
The houses are numbered in the square 1-6 and 18-21, those by the road 13-15. All the above are visible on vertical air photographs taken in 1946 (106G/Scot/UK 81, 4305-4307, flown 10 May 1946), which also show that additional accommodation was in huts.
At a later date (unknown), several new blocks were added to the N and S of the original group. These are not in the same style, one terrace row has been rendered and in two cases small paired brick and corrugated iron air-raid shelters or garden sheds have been added in the gardens. These buildings are visible on a later series of vertical air photographs (OS 68 020-022, flown 8 April 1968). These houses have been included in the numbering scheme as nos. 7-11 and 16-17.
