Field Visit (14 May 2016)

On the date of visit the site of Festival Park comprised housing, including six riverside blocks of accommodation rising up to 10 storeys in height and known locally as the ‘Butterfly Blocks’. The early 1990s development occupies part of the site of the 1988 Glasgow Garden Festival, which in turn was built on the site of the General Terminus Quay (Canmore ID 90285).

Visited by RCAHMS (AGCH) 14 May 2015.
