(NR 8203 9723) Standing Stone (NAT)

OS 6" map, Argyllshire, 2nd ed., (1900)

A tapering, dressed, standing stone, 5'6" x 2' x 1'6" at base. (Probably medieval or post medieval in date - see NR89NW 11)

M Campbell and M Sandeman 1964.

NR 8203 9721. An earthfast stone as described, but period and purpose unknown.

Resurveyed at 1:2500.

Visited by OS (I A) 27 April 1973.

The stone has been moved and is now recumbent 35.0m NE of the cist (NR89NW 36).

Visited by OS (T R G) 15 February 1977.
