(NR 5504 7188) ?Standing stone.

Information from RCAHMS to OS.

See also NR57SE 3 and NR57SW 3.

This upright stone at NR 5505 7192 is roughly semi-circular in plan, standing 0.9m high by 0.8m by 0.6m. This lack of height, coupled with its irregularity, prevents certain classification as a standing stone erected in antiquity. It could equally be a marker of some description.

Surveyed at 1/10,000.

Visited by OS (J B) 4 May 1978.
