A type 27 pillbox has been identified from a WW II RAF vertical air photograph (C737/8-OT, 60113, flown 11 April 1944, original held by D Grant, photocopy in RCAHMS) situated immediately to the S of a cross taxiway.
It is not known whether this pillbox is still extant, though it is depcited on the OS 1:10000 scale map (1977).
