Archaeology Notes

NO53SW 56.01 centred 5425 3340

The main camp area at Barry Buddon Training Ranges is visible on RAF WW II vertical air photographs (D309, 4977-4981, flown 26 June 1941), which show that at that date there were several groups and individual huts.

The huts are depicted on more recent OS maps (OS 1:10000 scale, 1974), however, by the date of the current OS 1:2500 scale digital maps, the huts would appear to have been removed.

Information from RCAHMS (DE), October 2005
