What may be a type 27 pillbox is depicted on the current OS 1:2500 scale digital map, situated 11m S of the boundary fence at Downiemuir farmsteading.

The possible pillbox is visible on vertical air photographs taken in 1947 (CPE/Scot/UK 304, 3080-3081 flown26 September 1947), within what may be a sqare enclosure.
