The standby aircraft 'Q' sheds are situated at the W end of the main runway.
Consisting of two conjoined corrugated sheds with folding doors to the rear (NW end). Both buildings are metal framed and there is a sloping concrete structure to the rear to redirect jet engine blast. Immediately to the SW is a flat roofed concrete building for crew rest with harled walls. The building has four doors and three metal framed windows.
The building is now scheduled for demolition.
