NO35SW 35 3044 5040.
(NO 3044 5040) A souterrain, identical to NO35SW 19, is noted by White (NSA 1845) in 1843 as being built into a dry knoll about one mile south of it, on the opposite side of a deep hollow but still within view. By 1861 the site could not be indicated.
After searching the area, Wainwright (1963) concluded that NO 3044 5040 was the most likely site since a shallow curved depression is visible, though nothing remains above ground. This fits White's topographical description of the site and suggests that this souterrain was at least as long as NO35SW 19 (ie 80ft).

Regular deep ploughing of this area has failed to expose the souterrain so Wainwright's siting (1963) cannot be substantiated.
